Best fit
Couples, friends and groups who prefer lounges, style and a more polished night.
Polished · Stylish · Lounge-led
Apgujeong and Rodeo Street deliver the polished side of Seoul after dark: design-led bars, lounges and clubs where the room, service and presentation matter as much as the music.
Why this district feels different
Apgujeong’s name predates Gangnam’s modern towers. It comes from a Joseon-era pavilion associated with Han Myeong-hoe on the northern edge of what was then a largely rural landscape.
Rapid development south of the Han transformed fields and orchards into an affluent residential, retail and entertainment district. Rodeo Street later became shorthand for youth fashion, celebrity culture and high-end leisure.

Apgujeong after dark
Choose Apgujeong when your group values interiors, table conversation and a well-dressed atmosphere before the dancing begins. The nightlife is more spread out than Itaewon or Hongdae, extending through Rodeo and towards Cheongdam.
Couples, friends and groups who prefer lounges, style and a more polished night.
Strong interiors, table-led socialising and selective late-night venues.
Dress standards and door policies can be stricter. Confirm the route and avoid overly casual clothing.
