This policy explains how Seoul Night Life (SNL) handles personal information when you visit our website, use our booking services, contact our team or take part in an experience.

1. Who is responsible

The website and SNL booking services are operated by 서울나이트라이프 (Seoul Night Life), a business based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This policy covers information handled by SNL. A marketplace, payment service or social platform also has its own policy for information it collects directly.

2. Information we collect

  • Bookings: your name, email address, phone number, chosen experience, package, location, date, language, guest count, booking reference, price, promotion or referral code, and payment status.
  • Enquiries and chat: the contact details and messages you send, together with the service, date, group size or other requirements you choose to include.
  • Website use: IP address, browser and device information, access times, referring pages, pages viewed, cookies and similar identifiers used for website operation, security, analytics or advertising.
  • Comments, accounts and uploads: information you submit through an available comment, account or upload feature, including associated technical information needed to operate that feature.
  • Marketplace bookings: reservation and guest details supplied to SNL by the platform through which you book, so that we can provide your experience.

Please do not put card details, passwords, passport copies or sensitive personal information into general enquiry or chat messages. Give another guest’s contact details only if you are authorised to do so.

3. How we use information

We use booking and contact information to arrange and deliver experiences, allocate hosts, communicate meeting instructions, answer questions, manage changes and cancellations, reconcile payments and handle customer support. Booking references, prices and promotion codes help us match a reservation to its payment and applicable offer.

Technical information supports website operation, fraud and spam prevention, troubleshooting and service improvement. Analytics and advertising services are described below. Processing must have an applicable legal basis, such as steps requested before a booking, performance of a contract, a legal obligation or consent where required. A privacy notice does not itself replace consent.

4. Service providers and other recipients

Services operating for SNL: website hosting, booking administration, email delivery, chat and technical support services process information needed to run those functions. Our website is hosted through GoDaddy. Relevant booking information is available to the SNL team and hosts who need it to arrange or deliver your experience.

Services you use directly: the website’s direct payment flow continues to Wise. Wise handles the information you provide on its payment service under its own privacy notice. SNL uses the booking reference and transaction status to reconcile your booking. Do not send payment credentials to SNL by email or chat.

If you book through a marketplace such as GetYourGuide, that platform collects information under its own privacy policy and supplies relevant reservation details to SNL. Contact that platform about data it holds independently; contact SNL about our copy of your booking information.

Pages may also use Google services for analytics, advertising, maps or video, and Trustindex to display reviews. These services may receive technical information when their content loads. See Google’s explanation of partner-site data use and Trustindex’s privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. Any disclosure must have an applicable legal basis and be limited to the relevant purpose.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies and similar technologies can support login sessions, preferences, security and website functionality. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use identifiers and information about visits to measure traffic, provide advertising and measure advertising performance. The information used depends on your settings, region and the services loaded on a page.

Where a consent or privacy-choice panel is presented, use it to review or change the choices offered. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking necessary storage may affect booking, login or other features. Browser controls do not necessarily disable every form of third-party processing.

Google provides additional advertising controls through My Ad Center. Choosing not to receive personalised advertising does not necessarily remove advertisements.

6. Embedded content, comments and uploads

Embedded maps, videos, reviews and social posts can contact their providers and operate under those providers’ privacy policies. A provider may recognise you if you are signed into its service.

If you leave a comment, the submitted information, IP address and browser user agent can be used for moderation and spam prevention. An email-derived hash may be sent to Gravatar to look up a profile image. A hash is not a guarantee of anonymity. Approved comments and profile images may be public. See Automattic’s privacy policy.

Do not upload images containing private location metadata or other personal details you do not want made public. Contact us if you want to raise a privacy concern about a photo or other content published by SNL.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected, including delivery of a booking, support, accounting, security and the resolution of claims, and for applicable legal retention periods. Under Korea’s electronic-commerce rules, where applicable:

  • Contract, cancellation and withdrawal records: five years.
  • Payment and supply-of-services records: five years.
  • Consumer complaint and dispute records: three years.
  • Display and advertising records: six months.

These periods concern the relevant records, not every piece of information you provide. Other legal requirements or a specific dispute can affect retention. See Article 6 of the electronic-commerce Enforcement Decree.

Comments and their moderation metadata may remain while the comment is published or retained for moderation. Account information is retained to operate the account and meet applicable obligations. You can request deletion using the contact below; records required by law may need to be kept. Information no longer needed should be deleted or irreversibly anonymised, including deletion from electronic records or secure destruction of paper copies as appropriate.

8. International processing

SNL is based in Korea, and external service providers may process information in other countries. A provider’s privacy notice explains its own international processing. An overseas transfer by SNL must meet the applicable legal requirements, including specific notice and consent where required. Simply visiting our website does not constitute consent to an overseas transfer.

9. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or suspension of processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You may also have rights to object or request a copy of information. Withdrawing consent does not undo earlier lawful processing or remove legal record-keeping obligations.

Email team@seoulnightlife.co or use our contact page. Describe the request and, if relevant, include your booking reference. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your records. Do not send identity documents unless a secure verification method has been agreed.

You can also raise a concern with Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission or the relevant authority where you live.

10. Security

We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse and loss. No website, email service or online payment system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you suspect an issue involving your SNL information.

11. Policy changes and contact

Updates will be published at this address with a revised date. Where a change requires a separate notice or consent, posting the revised policy alone does not replace that requirement.
